Grace is a Research and Development scientist with seven years’ experience in research for development, project management and coordination at the World Agroforestry (ICRAF).
Her focus is building resilience of ecosystem to climate change through facilitating selection, sourcing, and handling of quality germplasm to promote agricultural productivity, training communities on diversifying livelihoods’ options that reduce pressure on biodiversity, tree-based value-chain development, rainwater harvesting systems, restoration of degraded lands, sustainable woodfuel production systems and food security.
Currently, Grace is working on the design, techniques, and implementation component of the Regreening Africa programme. The component focuses on tree-based value chains, tree nurseries’ systems and viable agroforestry options. She has also contributed to successful implementation of other projects, among them the Biodiversity Management Program in the Horn of Africa, Drylands Development Programme and Governing Multifunctional Landscapes (Sustainable Woodfuel theme).
