A firm believer that the youth hold the key to the transformation of food systems, Victor is a climate smart agriculture and agribusiness development specialist mobilizing a youth transition to climate resilient agriculture and agricultural entrepreneurship.
He is the Regional Coordinator for Nourishing Africa that provides the structures of support around agri-food entrepreneurs including access to funding, capacity building, a continental marketplace, networking events, data and mentoring. In it, he is responsible for membership recruitment, building strategic partnerships and facilitating program implementation in East Africa.
Victor also serves as the Country & Regional Coordinator of the Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network (CSAYN) and is also the Co-Chair of the Youth Liaisons Group to the historic UN Food Systems Summit (UNFSS) where he works to build youth engagement and meaningful youth representation and participation in transforming global food systems.
A writer, Victor is the lead author of UNEP’s Global Environment Outlook for Youth – Africa Publication, has written articles for a host of international non-profit organisations as is also a regular columnist for the Business Daily.
Victor is a recipient of the prestigious Borlaug-Adesina Fellowship, the YALI Fellowship, was named as Kenya’s Youth of the Year – Agribusiness category in 2020. He was also featured in the list of the Top 35 under 35 Youth in Kenya.
