Ahmed Mohamed has over ten years of experience working in integrated natural resource management, including rangeland management, livelihood interventions, environmental education, sustainable development, climate change, water resource management, partnership development and collaboration, economic and income generation through small and medium-sized enterprises for women-led households, and program development and management in a variety of capacities. Ahmed has a bachelor’s degree in development studies, a diploma in information technology, and a master’s degree in public administration. Aside from his inherent resilience skills, working on five major projects has allowed him to acquire a variety of other skills that will be useful for his livelihood or any natural resource management projects. He also has extensive knowledge and experience in project implementation, community development, and institutional capacity building, among other things. Ahmed was the Regreening Africa Project Manager in Puntland, where he successfully introduced and implemented FMNR approaches, a new initiative for the region.
