Patrick Mugi is a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Kenya Representation. He is the lead monitoring expert for the Kenyan ASAL chapter of The Restoration initiative (TRI)programme which has been developed to make a significant contribution to restoring ecosystem functioning and improving livelihoods through the restoration of priority degraded and deforested landscapes, in support of the Bonn Challenge, and in response to the expressed needs of countries.
He is a career M&E professional having served in different donor and multilateral organizations and the Kenyan government in various capacities. Key among them are FAO, IFAD, EU, SIDA and GoK.
A Kenyan national he holds a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture and rural development from the University of Nairobi, Master’s degree in Project planning and management from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and certifications from Egyptian International cooperation agency, Henan University in China and the Kenya Institute of Management.
