Dr Alan Channer is a specialist on the intersections between peacebuilding and the environment. He is a Senior Fellow of the Global EverGreening Alliance and Co-Director of the ‘Summer Academy on Climate, Land and Security organized by the Geneva Centre for Security Policy and Initiatives of Change. He was a runner-up for the 2019 Bremen International Peace Prize and producer of the award-winning film, The Imam and the Pastor, which premiered at the United Nations in 2006. He has worked with UNDP, ICRAF, the United States Institute of Peace and other agencies on four continents. Alan has lived in Kenya with his family and is a Senior Advisor with the Nairobi-based NGO OikoDiplomatique.
